Project Management
Our staff is experienced in managing projects such as telecommunications system installations and moves, long distance network conversions, billing audits, and infrastructure and cabling projects. We handle projects that range in size from single site small system installations to highly complex, multisite, multi system projects. Some of our projects include:
- A nation wide roll out of PBX and key systems for a large retail client.
- A multisite, multisystem installation of switches which were cutover simultaneously and linked together in a seamless network.
- A nation wide long distance network with over 500 sites that included a private numbering plan.
- Cabling projects such as a campus wide installation of buried fiber, multiple buildings with voice and data cabling, and a fiber network that links various buildings within a metro area.
- Billing audits for clients with over 500 locations which have resulted in significant savings to our clients.
Each project has special requirements that make it unique. However, in general our project management services include the following:
- Creation of milestone chart for the project
- Establish dates for milestone events in coordination with vendor(s) involved
- Hold regular project coordination meetings
- Prepare and distribute project meeting notes and status reports
- Provide advice and support for system/network design by selected vendor; acting as a facilitator between the client and the vendor to ensure that the client's requirements are met
- Ensure coordination between various vendors, such as telephone system vendor, long distance vendor, local dial tone vendor, and/or data vendor
- Order tracking and coordination
- Training class preview and handout approval (where needed)
- Onsite support during system/network conversion, ensuring that proper testing procedures are followed and that system/network is working as intended by client
- Post cut/conversion support and clean up
- Verification that acceptance criteria have been met
- Verification of first bill from vendor
